FAYETTEVILLE,
Ark. –
Razorback fans will soon have a new web address for the latest information on
University of Arkansas Athletics as the all-new ArkansasRazorbacks.com launches
July 21.
“It is with great anticipation that we announce a new home for
Razorback Sports on the internet,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics
Jeff Long said. “Over the past six months, we have begun to blend our two
strong and successful athletic departments into one even stronger combined
program. Beginning later this month, the first visible signs of our combined
program will be seen in our new web-site ArkansasRazorbacks.com where fans can
follow all 19 sports and more than 450 student-athletes.”
ArkansasRazorbacks.com replaces the two current websites –
Hogwired.com for men’s teams and LADYBACKS.com for women’s teams. Countdown
clocks to the new website launch begin today.
“The all new web site will be an integral part of our athletic
program and provide a platform to communicate with Razorback fans all over the
world,” Long said. “We are excited about ArkansasRazorbacks.com and are
committed to maintaining a dynamic web presence that will showcase the athletic
and academic accomplishments of our student-athletes, as well as share with our
fans the very positive impact our program has on the university community and
the State of Arkansas.”
The new website covers all 19 sports at the University of Arkansas,
and will include new features to keep fans up-to-date on Razorback athletics.
Special internet-only feature stories on Razorback athletes, behind the scenes
looks into Arkansas athletics created by coaches and athletes and expanded
video coverage are part of the new website.
The new web site kicks off the week of SEC Football Media Days,
and ArkansasRazorbacks.com will be there to cover each day of the event with
exclusive content and video features.
The new website will include special fan guide pages for
Razorback visitors to Fayetteville, and beginning on Aug. 30, enhanced Game Day
coverage of Razorback home football games.
RazorVision takes over the premium website content from
Hogwired’s RazorZone and LADYBACK.com’s All-Access. All current members of the
Hogwired premium area will roll over automatically into RazorVision.
RazorVision will provide more streaming video than ever before,
including live video coverage of baseball, men’s basketball, women’s
basketball, gymnastics, soccer and volleyball.
In addition, plans call for the addition of live video streaming for
softball and swimming and diving in the upcoming year.
