FAYETTEVILLE - The No. 51 University of Arkansas men's tennis team improved its record to 10-3 with two victories Sunday over UMKC (5-2) and Oral Roberts (6-1) at the Dills Indoor Tennis Facility.

Arkansas got off to a quick start in doubles play winning on courts two and three. The duo of Christian Lee and Pete Thomason dominated court three not allowing UMKC to score a point. Mike Nott and Victor Hoang grabbed the other victory for doubles giving Arkansas the 1-0 lead in the dual match.

Thomason got the first singles point for the Hogs at the No. 6 spot, taking down David Heckler 6-1, 6-2. Hall Fess and Lee followed with easy two-set victories. Hoang had a close second set against Ivonov, but pulled out the 7-5 win to give Arkansas the 5-0 lead.

Ward dropped his match in a third-set tie break to Tomas Pitino on court one; while Santiago Munoz dropped his match in a long fought battle against Grant Fleming on court two. Arkansas won the first match of the day 5-2.

Arkansas continued solid play in the second match of the day against Oral Roberts. The Hogs took the doubles point by winning on courts one and two. Fess and Munoz finished first taking down Jason Mechali and Pedro Mereno 8-3. Nott and Hoang clinched the doubles point defeating Fabian Zierleyn and Nathanial Avery 8-3.
