Weather forces schedule adjustment

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas Razorback Athletic Department is set for a busy weekend on campus but in addition to dealing with all the sporting events, officials are also managing the weather.

On Wednesday, University personnel elected to adjust the Razorback softball team’s home opening tournament, the Arkansas Invitational.  Although snow and rain are expected to be out of the area at the time of the tournament, field conditions will improve with some slight schedule adjustments.

The tournament was scheduled to begin with four games Friday, four on Saturday and concludes with two games Sunday.  The new format features two games with a later start time Friday, four games Saturday and four on Sunday.
