“It was a really good day today,” Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor
said. “It came down to the wire and Gaby sank a 15-footer on the 17th hole for our third point and the win. I’m so incredibly proud of this group. After nine holes we knew we had a big mountain to climb. The team dug team and climbed the mountain and trusted their preparation. We came here with a mission to learn this format and how to play in it and how to prepare ourselves and we look forward to the opportunity tomorrow to win the Liz Murphey.
It was a long day and I’m thankful for all of the people who help us get ready every day,” she continued. “Mike (Adams),Whitney (Branham) and Natalie (Trotter) do a great job and we were ready for today.”
The final match against USC is scheduled for an 8 a.m. central start to the day.
