OUTLOOK: Love started two games last year and with the loss of all four starters in the secondary, he used spring practice to emerge as the starter at left cornerback heading into the season. He is listed ahead of senior Shedrick Johnson heading into fall camp. He will also likely be used on special teams. He had two tackles, both solo stops, in the Red-White Spring Game. He also had two tackles, one solo and one assist, in the first major scrimmage of the spring.

2007: Primarily the backup to Matterral Richardson, he saw action in all 13 games with starts against North Texas and in the Cotton Bowl against Missouri. He had 22 tackles for the season with 16 solo stops. Three of his tackles were sacks for 23 yards in losses. He also had four pass breakups and four quarterback hurries. – Love played 45 snaps in the defensive secondary against Troy in the season opener. He logged one assisted tackle. At Alabama, Love made one assisted and one solo tackle in 33 plays. Love was productive in 11 snaps vs. Kentucky with a pass breakup and one quarterback hurry. He played a team-high 78 snaps at cornerback vs. North Texas’ spread-passing attack and made two solo tackles. He also had his second quarterback hurry of the season and was in position for his first sack. Love played 13 snaps vs. Chattanooga and recorded a pass breakup as the Razorbacks held the Mocs to 11 yards passing. He made one solo stop in 14 snaps at cornerback vs. Auburn. Love played 12 very productive snaps at Ole Miss, registering his first two career sacks (-13) and a quarterback hurry. He was part of a defense that logged a season-high six sacks and four interceptions. Love played 31 snaps on defense against Florida International and once again put steady pressure on the quarterback with frequent blitzes from his corner spot with a sack and another quarterback hurry. Love played 32 snaps vs. South Carolina, making four tackles, including one special teams stop. Love notched 12 plays at Tennessee and registered one solo tackle vs. the Vols. Love played 50 snaps vs. Mississippi State as the Bulldogs went to the air after falling behind early, making three tackles, two solo. He played significant minutes in Arkansas’ triple-overtime win at then-No. 1 LSU with two solo tackles. He had three tackles, two solo, against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. 

2006: A regular in the Razorbacks’ defensive back rotation and a regular contributor on the kickoff coverage team, Love appeared in all 14 games. He earned one start at cornerback when the Razorbacks opened in a dime formation against Vanderbilt. He was a part of Arkansas’ nickel and dime secondary formations, and was a reserve at left cornerback. He tallied 16 tackles, including 12 solo stops, on the season. He earned at least one tackle in his first eight outings, but didn’t register a stop in his final six contests. Love tied for fifth on the squad with six tackles on special teams, including five solo stops and one assisted tackle. He earned three pass breakups and two quarterback hurries on the campaign. – Love logged 26 snaps in the secondary against No. 3 USC. He earned one assisted tackle against the Trojans. He stepped up with five solo stops against Utah State. He also broke up an Aggies’ pass and finished with six total tackles. He made his first career start at Vanderbilt as the Hogs opened in a dime defense. Love recorded one tackle and broke up a pass in playing all 67 defensive snaps against the Commodores. He played just 14 snaps against No. 22 Alabama’s power-running game as the Hogs’ lined up in their traditional 4-3 defense most of the game. He finished with four tackles against the Crimson Tide. Love notched a solo tackle on 17 snaps at No. 2 Auburn where he played in nickel and dime formations. He also registered a pass deflection. Love made two solo stops on 28 snaps at corner in a non-conference win over Southeast Missouri State. He was in on 28 plays against Ole Miss and recorded a solo tackles and a quarterback hurry. Love made one assisted tackle against Louisiana-Monroe while playing 37 snaps. He played but did not record any statistics at South Carolina. Love did not make a tackle in limited action against No. 13 Tennessee and Mississippi State. He saw valuable playing time in the Razorbacks’ final three games against No. 9 LSU, No. 4 Florida and No. 7 Wisconsin, but did not record a tackle in the trio of contests.

2005: He played in six games during his first season. He logged time against Missouri State, Alabama, Louisiana-Monroe, Auburn, Georgia and Mississippi State. Most of his playing time was on special teams, although he did get some snaps at cornerback. He earned two tackles on the season with both of them coming on special teams. – He played in the Razorbacks’ season-opening win over Missouri State. After a two-game hiatus, he returned to the field against Alabama. He tallied his first collegiate tackle, an assisted stop, in the Razorbacks’ non-conference victory over Louisiana-Monroe in War Memorial Stadium located near his hometown. He also played against Auburn, Georgia and Mississippi State. His first solo tackle came at No. 4 Georgia.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: He recorded 55 tackles, seven pass break ups, two tackles for loss and three forced fumbles on defense as a senior for Coach Bryan Hutson. On the offensive side of the ball, he accounted for five touchdowns (three receiving and two rushing) in his final prep campaign. He had 45 carries for 465 yards and two touchdowns. He also netted five receptions for 230 yards and three scores. He was a member of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All-Metro team as a senior. In his junior campaign, he made 50 tackles and intercepted three passes. As a sophomore, he tallied 68 tackles, four interceptions and two forced fumbles. He also competed in track and field during his prep career. He competed in the 100- and 200-meter dashes as well as the 4x100 relay. He recorded a best time of 10.6 in the 100-meter dash. Rivals rated him as the No. 11 overall player in Arkansas and the No. 44 cornerback in the country. He was ranked the No. 7 overall prospect in Arkansas by The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas. He was No. 86 on the Mobile Press Register’s Super Southeast 120 listing. He participated in the 2005 Arkansas High School All-Star Game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. He was also recruited by South Carolina, Memphis, Nebraska, Rice, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 8, 1986, he is the son of Carol Morgan. Love is majoring in sociology.
