OUTLOOK: With a new passing game installed this season, he could see more action than last year when he played in five games. He made strides late in spring practice. Coleman may be the best Razorback wide receiver at elevating himself to make the catch. Going into fall camp, he is listed second behind sophomore Marques Wade on the depth chart at one of Arkansas’ three wide receiver positions. He had one reception for 50 yards in the Red-White Spring Game, the second-longest pass play of the game. The reception from Nathan Dick moved his White team from its 47 to the Red three and set up a touchdown two plays later. In the first spring scrimmage, he had three catches for 67 yards with a 45-yard score from Alex Mortensen. In the second scrimmage, he made one catch for 18 yards.

2007: Coleman saw action in five games and had one reception for 14 yards. He played against Kentucky, North Texas, Ole Miss, Florida International and Mississippi State. His reception came against North Texas. During 2007 spring practice, he worked at both receiver and cornerback.

2006: Coleman played in five games for the Razorbacks in his redshirt freshman season. He earned a letter after playing against USC, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Auburn and Louisiana-Monroe. He didn’t earn a reception in his time on the field.

2005: He redshirted in his first season in Fayetteville.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: He led his team to a 7-4 record as a senior spending time at quarterback and at wide receiver. He was named to The Associated Press Super Team. He was hampered by a sprained ankle in his senior season under Coach Buck James. As a junior he led Fairview High School to an 8-3 record. He rushed for 625 yards and 10 touchdowns. He passed for 675 yards and another 10 scores. He also caught two passes for 98 yards with both going for touchdowns. He accounted for a total of 22 touchdowns in his junior campaign. As a junior on the hardwood, he led his basketball squad to a 20-8 record. He averaged 15 points, five rebounds and two assists per game. He also was a prep track standout. He turned in a time of 48.26 in the 400 meters, a triple jump of 41-6 and a long jump of 21-7. Rivals rated him as the No. 8 overall player in Arkansas. He had a bench press max of 205 pounds and a squat lift max of 410 pounds in high school. He also registered a 35-inch vertical leap. He participated in the 2005 Arkansas High School All-Star Basketball Game at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville. He played AAU basketball with former Razorback teammate Darren McFadden. He was also recruited by Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Tulsa and Memphis.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 15, 1986, he is the son of Frederick and Angela Carroll. His full first name is Jeroderick. He is majoring in kinesiology.
