Hogwired All about sports Young national champion Ajay Malik has been acknowledged by tennis fans and fraternity for his huge success. Ajay Malik had to overcome huge hardships to become the national champion. Some people have also come forward to lend support to this national tennis champion.
Ajay Malik who is 13 years old got the coveted U-14 champions title although he didn’t have any exposure to proper training facilities. This U-14 Champion practised on mud courts in his village. Despite these hardships, Ajay had developed the essential skills to be the U-14 Indian champion. On his way to becoming the U-14 champion, Malik defeated several players who had the good fortune to practice with superior coaches and also had access to better training facilities.
Zeeshan Ali Indian Davis Cup in recognition of this player’s merit has offered Ajay Malik a scholarship.
While speaking to PTI Ali said that he plans to train young Malik at their academy in Bangalore. He said that Ajay can stay in their academy and his fitness and training will be taken care of by them.
A tennis fan from Hong Kong has also come forward to offer his support to this U-14 Indian champion after he read about him in a PTI news story published in social media. This person from Hong King has confirmed his support to Ajay by giving him tennis shoes and a string roll. The tennis fan from Hong Kong doesn’t want to disclose his name. He promised to deliver the good promised by him to Ajay in 2-3 days.
In another instance, a tennis fan from Zurich has also enquired about the kind of support this U-14 Indian champion wants. According to reports some of the Indian senior tennis players also plan to watch Ajay Malik’s game in the near future.
Other well-known players in the Indian Tennis circuit like Vishnu Vardhan, Jeevan Nedunchezhian, Ankita Raina ( India’s number one singles player )have also shown their support for Ajay Malik by spreading the news about his recent success in social media.
Ajay Malik’s father Ajmer Malik’s phone has been buzzing with calls and messages congratulating this young U-14 Indian champion. Ajmer also received a congratulatory message from Haryana sports director for his son’s recent success.
Arun Kumar who happens to a DLTA coach played a pivotal role in developing Ajay into a tennis player. According to him with the recent support Ajay is getting from fans and supporters the onus is on him to deliver in the future games and tournaments.
According to Arun Kumar Ajay deserves the support he is receiving now and he feels that more people should come forward and help Ajay. Kumar believes that Ajay has all the potential to make it to the next grade. However, he said that Ajay should not put pressure on himself but continue to “be himself”.
