Ravichandran Ashwin has been in the news for quite some time and it all started with him forgetting to thank the ODI captain of India, MS Dhoni after being declared the No. 1 bowler of the year. The fans of the captain cool have ever since then been nagging the spinner about the same. Trolls and memes have flooded the social media networks, after the incident. However, it seems that the spinner has lost his cool with the fans, who kept tagging Ashwin’s wife in the posts.
The Internet Went Crazy After Ashwini Failed To Mention Dhoni In Award Show
Ashwin took to Twitter, to request the fans of captain cool, to please not tag his wife in the “funny tweets”. The tweet from the spinner showed that the spinner is visibly irritated and he further said that his wife has better things to do. The tweet stated the fans to keep Prithi, Ashwin’s wife, away from all the tweets related to Ashwin. All this started, after the star spinner, failed to address Dhoni, in his thank speech, when he received ICC Cricketer of the Year and the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year. However, his family members and the test team captain had got the recognition.
In his speech he had also praised the test match captain of India, Virat Kohli saying that a young captain was chosen for the team and the team is going on the right track. He also says that the team is now having a set of new faces.
This mistake of the spinner led to people speculating is the relation between the two Chennai Super King stars were as good as they were. However, it seems likely that it had skipped the spinners mind, to address the limited over captain. The same can be confirmed by the fact that, he retweeted a tweet of one of the fans, which read [email protected] ne ye matter notice bhi ni kiya hoga bt ye social media na do bhaiyon ko bhi dhushman [email protected] take a chill pill.”
Although the spinner has asked to put away his wife from all these funny tweets, but the internet is still filled with memes and trolls about the incident.
