With both teams failing to have a good start this season, Gujarat Lions and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be battling out each other at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. So far in the tournament, Gujarat Lions have played four matches while Royal Challengers Bangalore has played five. But both of them have won only one match each. They occupy the last two positions at the standing table. Hence, it is important for each of the teams to perform well and outdo each other.
IPL 2017: GL vs RCB, Team Faceoff And Expectations
Ravindra Jadeja v/s Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli has just made a comeback in the RCB team after suffering an injury. He scored a productive 62 runs in the last match he played against the Mumbai Indians. Known as a run machine, Virat will have to stay in the fruitful form to take the Royal Challengers Bangalore on a winning streak. Ravindra Jadeja, on the other hand, knows his tactics and is well aware of his planning strategies. They will put up a match that will definitely be worth your time.
Brendon McCullum v/s Adam Milne
Brendon McCullum may have retired from international cricket but he has shown that he is still as good as he was when he was leading New Zealand. This man can take some credit for taking brand IPL to the heights it is on now. His swashbuckling century in the first ever match of the tournament set the ball rolling. Last year, McCullum couldn’t get going for the Lions: the additional burden of captaincy in the first few matches must have had an effect on him. He managed just one fifty in 16 games and looked off colour. A tall fast bowler, Milne is known to bowl express pace. Bought into the RCB camp in 2015, Milne missed the tournament due to an injury. But he has been retained by the franchise for definitely some good reasons.
