The King’s XI Punjab’s assistant coach Mithun Manhas in a press conference talked about the whereabouts of the team and how the team is charged up to perform in the days to come. He also feels that the team will need just a single win to get back on the winning track.
Talking about the close encounter that the team has had in the last match, the assistant coach said that he feels that close matches are very common in the tournament like the IPL 2017. He feels that in the last match that the team had lost against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it was a bad defeat for the team and he is hopeful that the team will surely bounce back.
Punjab Team Assistant Coach Talks About The Performance Of The Players So Far
The Punjab team had started off the tournament in the IPL this year, with some great piece of cricket. However, the team has now suffered a streak of three back to back losses and it seems that the team has lost the initial momentum that they had started with. In the last match, the team was really close to a win, however, it was the 5 wicket haul of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, that restricted the Preity Zinta-owned team of the IPL from chasing the 160 runs target set by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The assistant coach of the team also talked about the young talent in the team, Manan Bohra, who has shined in the last match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and it was because of his good knock of 95 runs from just 50 balls that the team had ached near the 160 runs target. Talking about the youth in the team, the coach said that Manan has a huge talent, but it will be his consistency that will define him. The coach feels that it is easy to play good innings, but according to him, the real question lies how often he can deliver these knocks.
Praising Manan, the coach also said that all these years, he had been playing second fiddle to big names like Sehwag and Marsh. However, this time he has a lot of opportunities to show his talent.[socialpoll id=”2435618″]
