The second test between the Aussies and India, is on its way and it seems that the home team is yet not able to make their mark in the series. After being dismissed for 189, the Indian bowlers are now fumbling to collect wickets on the Chinnaswamy track. The two spin bowlers of the team, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have taken one and three wickets respectively and the total runs scored by the visiting team is 161 for the loss of 4 wickets.
Jadeja Shows Hope, Ashwin Yet To Make His Mark
The Indian team was having one of the dream seasons at home after having defeated England and Bangladesh in back to back series. However, with the onset of Australia touring the country, the players seem not in the best of their forms. After having lost the first test match with a poor display of cricket, the second test match too seems no different from the last one.
After having suffered some of the severe blows from the Aussie bowlers in the first day of the match, the Indian spinners fail to shine once again. While on the second day of the second test, the match resumed with Australia batting on 40 runs for the loss of no wicket, the Indian spinners and the fast bowlers alike, have not been able to make much a mark. KL Rahul had predicted after the conclusion of the first day that the spinners of the home team would shine on the next day. However, anything such is yet to be noted.
After the defeat in the previous test match, people criticized the pitch, according to many of the players and the critics, the pitch was not good enough. However, no such foul cry has yet been noticed in the second test. After having such a wonderful series at home, it would be really disappointing for Virat Kohli’s team to bear with the back to back to back poor performances.
