Pankaj Has Earned The Nation 16 World Titles
In the last decade, quite a few sports star have earned the laurel for themselves. Saina Nehwal and Sania Mirza are the others who have been awarded this award. Pankaj has been a real treasure for the country, as he is the lone torch bearer of snooker in India. Not only is his talent restricted to being the first well-known snooker player of the nation, but he has also been one of the players, who have helped the nation earn fame in the particular sports.
Pankaj is also an inspiration to various young snooker players across the country, who look up to Pankaj as their hero. Not only Pankaj, but many of his fans and officials are also disappointed on the snooker player being left out of the award ever after contributing so much in the sports and making the nation proud. Among others, BSFI secretary S Balasubramaniam has also expressed his dismay on the emission of the sports star from the awardee list.
Pankaj’s brother also condemned the government saying that the nation only looks up and considers the cricketers and the Olympic sportsmen, when it comes to such awards.
