The Indian cricketer team captain,Virat Kohli has been in the news for quite a few reasons right from the early times of his career. This time again the Indian skipper is in the news and the reason behind the same is his shoulder injury. Virat has had a serious injury on the first day of the third test that is being played between India and Australia.
India vs Australia Test 3: Virat Kohli Injury Not Serious
While the Indian skipper was trying to save a boundary, in the post lunch session of the first day had fell heavily on his right shoulder. The injury was bad enough to set the well-known bastman out of the ground. Kohli did not return to the field for the rest of the day.
Many of his fans are praying for his speedy recovery and here is a good news for all of them. While the batsman have been diagnosed with a minor injury, the medical experts have revealed that there is nothing serious about the injury and yes, you might expect to see him playing in the match yet again!
While Kohli was off the field Ajinkya Rahane was handed over with the duty of the captaincy of the team. It must be admitted here that the presence of Kohli in the team adds a significant boost to the morale of the team which was missing.
Talking about the first day actions, both the teams seemed to be quite even untill the Australian captain came off with a brilliant knock. Glenn Maxwell was a perfect partner for the Australian captain and both of them together piled up a massive 159 runs unbeaten partnership. While there was some spectacular display of bowling by the home team, they failed to get the duo and this did cost them heavily. The match was called off for the day with Australia still quite strong on the test with 299/4. Previously, Australia had won the toss and decided to start the batting.
