WWE Roadblock Results 18th December 2016, New Champions And Title Holders

The Roadblock: End of the Line event of the World Wrestling Entertainment has come to an end, with some of the most exciting results. There were a lot of superstars who were in action in the matches. Apart from the superstars, there were quite a lot of belts that were up for superstars to grab or to retain. Some of the notable titles that were distributed at the last Pay Per View event were WE Universal Championship, WWE Cruiserweight, WWE Raw Women’s Championship. and also WWE Tag-Team Championships.

Prematch Show: Big Cass vs Rusev

The eventful night in PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA, started with the pre-show fight between Big Cass and Rusev. Big Cass was throughout dominant in the match and did turn out to be the winner, in what seemed an easy win. Rusev was seen fleeing the ring with Lana and thus lost the match by count out.

WWE Tag Team Championship: New Day vs Cesaro and Sheamus

The first of the pay per view event started with the big match, with the Tag Team Tittle at stake. Cesaro and Sheamus faced the New Day in the encounter. The match had some dramatic moments. It finally ended with Sheamus rolling up the New Day member, Kofi Kingston for a pin fall. The historic run of the new day as the tag team champions thus came to an end.

Sami Zyan vs Braun Strowman

The next in line was the long awaited match between Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman. The match started with Stowman dominating and it continued the same way for most parts of the match. However, with just 10 seconds left in the match, Sami threw a Helluva Kick to his opponent and thus was able to win the match. However, the long going tension between the two superstars is yet to conclude.

Chris Jericho vs Seth Rollins

Chris Jericho was up against Seth Rollins in the next match. This seemed quite an even match, with both the superstars dominating certain parts of the battle. Although Kevin Owens had tried to distract the referee and turn the wheel for Jericho, it was Rollins who went on to win the thriller.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Rich Swann vs TJ Perkins vs Brian Kendrick

The next exciting encounter was the triple threat match between Rich Swann, TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick. The three men fought for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. As exciting as a triple threat match could be, the three superstars were tested thoroughly throughout the course of the match. However, it was Rich Swann, who could walk out of the ring as the winner and thus maintain his title.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks vs Charlotte

Sasha Banks and Charlotte, the two women has for long having a rift and it was the last pay per view of the year that saw the two women clashing against each other once more. The once-in-a-generation match was a 30-minute encounter, where the ladies had concluded with a 2-2 result., This forced the match into the tiebreakers, where Charlotte dominated and was able to win the 15th Pay Per View match against Banks and thus she also did win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

WWE Universal Championship: Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns

The last of the pay per view match was fought between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns. The match had some of the most electrifying moments. However, Roman Reigns had fallen prey to the ongoing feud between Owens and Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho who seemed visibly upset with the loss and considered Owens as the reason behind the same, went on to hit Kevin with a Codebreaker, while both the legal men of the match were down. This lead to the disqualification of Roman Reigns and thus, it was Kevin Owens won the match.

The last Pay Per View event of the World Wrestling Entertainment was one of a kind and was good enough for a wrestling lovers. While some were able to retain their championship, there were others who have earned the championships for themselves. All in all, it was quite an eventful night from the WWE, just before the Christmas.
